Hayward Gallery Shop open!

So as I'm sure you're all aware by now, we have recently collaborated with the Hayward Gallery, on a range of home ware and stationery products. The gallery contacted us back in September 2017 and commissioned a bespoke collection, exclusive to the Southbank Centre, a world-famous, multi-venue arts centre based in Central London.

Chosen for my design ethos; "designing thoughtful, tactile products that inspire the viewer to look longer and deeper at raw beauty", I was thrilled to be given the opportunity to portray this Brutalist style gallery in a beautiful and commercial way.

The controversial 1960/70’s  'Brutalist' architectural style, is so often dismissed without consideration of its true merits. It’s so fulfilling to showcase these for what they really are. The collection is urban and raw, but with a soft feel, it was a really fun challenge.

The range includes;

a choice of 6 art cards

6 notebook designs (sold in sets of 3)

6 digital A2 prints

cotton tea towels in 2 designs

placemats in 2 designs

cushions in 2 sizes/designs

To purchase any of these beautiful products, please visit Southbank Centre’s online shop, or visit their museum stores.

ALL OVER THE WORLD

For a while now I'm been searching for an app or system online that plots where your products go when you make a sale.

I find it incredibly inspiring and genuinely interesting to see where in the UK, and more recently the world(!) my designs travel to.

I still can't source an app, so have resorted to plotting them myself as a fun exercise and a nice distraction from "real work"! I found this website https://www.mapcustomizer.com , it allows you to manually plot in points. So here's the visual of where a select few of my customers have ordered to, I didn't plot EVERY order as it was quite time consuming, but feel this gives a good overview.

These diagrams makes my heart happy :)

RUTH HOLLY X THE HAYWARD

So incredibly proud and happy to share my news of a collaboration with The Hayward Gallery, London.

To help celebrate it's re-opening after a 2 year refurbishment, I've been designing, developing and creating a range of exclusive prints, inspired by The Hayward's brutalist architectural features.

The Hayward Gallery is a world-renowned contemporary art gallery within the Southbank Centre, part of an area of major arts venues on the South Bank of the River Thames.

Keep watching for more news on my new collection, but for now you can read about the beautiful Hayward here ...

London Design Festival

Last weekend I took a trip to London for the incredibly inspiring London Design Festival.

London Design Festival celebrates and promotes London as the design capital of the world. Now in its fifteenth year, the Festival returned to venues and institutions across the city between the 16-24 September 2017. It's a week of installations, exhibitions, trade shows and general buzz of stylish, exciting folk!

I designed a very intricate plan off attack the week before I went and scouted through websites of 'must see' things before I set off, in hope to make sure the best bits weren't missed!

On reflection.....I set myself far too much to see in 48 hours and came back rather exhausted! but it was fun while I was there. Highlights included Design Junction, London Design Fair, The Design Museum and a visit to South Kensington for lunch!

Have a look here on my instagram, you'll be able to see lots of cool photos I took!

Not on the High Street 'Christmas In July' event - Props call in!

So I was really happy to be able to provide our beautiful products as part of a press event held by Notonthehighstreet.com recently.

Harriet, the prop stylist got in touch about loaning some items, NOTHS used them in their 'Jewellery Box' set up and they looked really beautiful.

I have attached a few photos to show how the venue was styled!
